Treachery of Coffee

Treachery of Coffee

$15.00

Welcome to our newest product line, the Treachery of Coffee! Experience barrel-rested coffee like none other you’ve ever tried. Our aim is to create an artful, exquisitely balanced cup that highlights both the single-origin coffee and the spirit previously residing in the barrel. We achieve these complementary, nuanced notes by using innovative resting methods that prevent the coffee from turning out excessively boozy or overwhelming.

This product line will be released in extremely limited batches only a few times a year, and each batch will feature unique bean and barrel match-ups. We’ve just made a new drop available:

Coffee information: Single-origin Vietnamese beans, from SHG Lotus producers in the highlands of Da Lat and Cau Dat, grown at 1400 - 1600 masl and processed using the washed method.

Barrel information: Ex-bourbon maple syrup barrels.

Tasting notes: This experimental combination of Vietnamese coffee and ex-bourbon maple syrup barrels created something special! Our favorite brewing method to use with these beans is the French Press. Using James Hoffman's method allows the coffee to cool to the perfect temperature for an unforgettable cup. Chocolate chip pancakes with all of the magic. Sweet notes of maple with a hint of buttery richness. In the background there is a hint of muddled berries. Take your time with this coffee… the rewards are found as this brew gently cools!

Bag size: 8 oz
Rest easy: there is no actual alcohol content in the brewed coffee.
